*What is “KANATA exhibition”?
Terry, the owner of Sasaki Art Gallery started an event in 2018 in Tokyo Japan, with loving, passionate artists who live in Canada or Japan. They named this event” KANATA exhibition” and it became an opportunity for many people to connect each other. They reunited again in the following year with many guests and new artists. The first one in Vancouver at his own gallery was held in the beginning of 2020.
“KANATA exhibition” is a place that’s like a bridge between Canada and Japan, where people can meet, know each other and create some joyful collaboration.
Kanata means “village” in the Iroquoian, indigenous Canadian language.
